I chose to become a life coach after a 30-year career as a Nurse Practitioner. During that time, I worked with thousands of people of all ages, from all walks of life, and in various states of health. I worked in a variety of settings including intensive care units and emergency rooms, community health clinics, corporate wellness programs, and in private practice. My deepest joy and the source of most professional satisfaction has been in helping people discover their own strength and recognize their ability to make changes in their own lives.
In addition to being a Nurse Practitioner, I hold Master of Arts degrees in Clinical Psychology and in Human Services. I have been certified as a Menopause Clinician through the North American Menopause Society. I am certified as a Transformational Life Coach after completing training at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California. In addition, I have completed training as a Meaning Coach under internationally-known life coach and author Eric Maisel, PhD.
Through the years, I've participated in ongoing continuing education programs which allowed me to acquire skills in Guided Imagery, Bioenergy, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, acupressure and various forms of meditation.
As a life coach, I have chosen to partner with people who want to take responsibility for creating their own health and happiness. I see myself as a partner and co-creator, not as someone having all the answers to another’s challenges. My goal is to empower my clients to grow, maintain health and achieve a sense of well-being and fulfillment as they live into their heart's desire.
